Free Stephen Hawking Ebook (EPUB)

The whole of this guide is available as a single free ebook, so you can read it offline, on your e-reader, or anywhere away from the screen. It gathers the written content of the site into a properly structured book with a full table of contents.

What's inside

The ebook collects the site's written material into twelve parts: his life, his science explained in plain English, the key concepts, his views on the big questions, his collaborators, comparisons with other great scientists, his books, his words, motor neurone disease, his place in culture, and the research and sources behind it all, followed by a reference section with a timeline, his famous bets, his honours, and a frequently asked questions section.

The interactive tools on the site, such as the black hole calculator and the quizzes, are not included in the ebook, since they only work in a web browser. Everything else is here.

How to read it

The file is in EPUB format, which works on virtually every modern e-reader and reading app, including Apple Books, Kobo, and Amazon Kindle. To read it on a Kindle, email the EPUB to your personal Kindle address and Amazon will convert it for you. On a phone or tablet, simply open the downloaded file and your default reading app will take over.
